And to change a bit the subject and start making this Blog a bit more human and closer to our beloved clients, I will have to say that having a Pawn Shop blog "ain't easy as pie"...
Let me explain myself better here, for those who have no clue on what I'm talking about, I've written for years, I love words, communicating with people, but i never thought blogging could be as serious as it's getting.
Let's say if this was a fashion blog, or a travel blog, I'd have a million of resources and ideas to write about, but Pawn shop is a very stigmatized industry, most people think it's a place to sell stolen items or to buy cheap, tacky and old things, sometimes it's difficult to get inspired.
But as I've been looking all over the web I've come to see many awesome pawn shop blogs such as:
• Glendale Pawn and Jewelry's Blog in Arizona (I personally LOVE GPawn's posts!)
• Mr. Don Battis 's Blog on Pawntique in New Hampshire (Whom i have to say has become a role model in this!)
• La Familia Pawn Blog in sunny Florida: (I love the way they write, i guess I'd have to agree with Gpawn, it does needs a little spice up, but overall it looks Great!)
I bet i will find a lot more on the way down the road, but also reading through these i finally understand and overcome the fear i once had of finding who else is out there and talking about them, since the only way to build traffic and positive relationships it's if we unite to eliminate the general thoughts on Pawn Shops which have come, thanks to several TV shows and media, to take the first baby steps into building a different reputation.
We're not the Big Bad Wolf that people think, we do have structures to work, receive, purchase and sell merchandise. We help people every day to get some cash in their pockets at a fair price (Most of us do!), we also help antique and art collectors get awesome items sometimes things that were lost for centuries!
We've been here for ages, if not ask Chaplin:
So I invite EVERY PAWN SHOP BLOGGER to join this movement, call it like that, to clean the name of pawn shops whom are also part of the economy of our country!
See you soon
